ABQPolicy is an independent, nonpartisan research project focused on practical questions facing Albuquerque and the surrounding region.
What we do
We publish clear policy research, local data analysis, explainers, and actionable recommendations for public officials, civic organizations, journalists, neighborhood leaders, business leaders, and engaged residents.
How we work
We evaluate policies by their likely outcomes, costs, feasibility, tradeoffs, and strength of evidence—not by party or ideology. We distinguish the City of Albuquerque from the metropolitan area and other geographies whenever that distinction matters.
Independence
ABQPolicy is not affiliated with the City of Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, the State of New Mexico, any political party, campaign, or government agency.
Funding and disclosure
Funding and sponsorship disclosures will be published here if outside support is introduced. Sponsors will not control research conclusions, and sponsored material will never be presented as independent research.
